Advice

Because our consultants have many years of experience from many different projects, we can give qualified advice on the technologies most appropriate for you. Our core competences is in the field of open source products. Because we do not depend on any vendors, we can always give neutral advices.

  • When is it purposeful to use C#, C++ or PHP?
  • Maybe Smalltalk is a variant?
  • When should you prefer Java?
  • XML or Not?
  • Struts with Tiles, JSF, and/or AJAX?
  • Hibernate or rather build it yourself?
  • Which development environment is the best suited?

We will be happy to help you answer such questions.

Documentation of the architecture and the broad design. Defining standards and developer guides. Change- and bugmanagment or work out processes and documenting them. Whatever to help you ensure an orderly and clean start of your projects.

Training

Since the founding of aragost in 2001 we have conducted several dozens of courses. Most notably Struts courses.

On request we do also offer courses in the following subjects:

  • Object oriented programming (with Java)
  • Software development (with Scrum)

Review

Interview

You would like to hire new software developers.

There are uncertainties in the assessment of technical qualifications.

When there is lack of time no thorough technical interview can be made.

Then we would like to take over that task for you.

For several years we have with large success carried out job interviews for our customers.

You give us the job description and the contact details (and if present, the CV) of the candidate. Then we take care of everything else:

  • Initial contact and appointment with the candidate
  • Then the best suited aragost employee or employees conducts a personal interview (if possible and sensible). The examination of the candidates are especially in view of…
    • …the technologies you have interest in.
    • …the ability to work in teams or under stress
    • …the truthfulness of the CV
  • In the end you get the results (standardized, so different candidates can be compared) with a recommendation.
